The Buck Creek Township Community Room, encompassing 1,600 square feet, is situated at 5809 West Airport Boulevard, Greenfield, Indiana 46140, and is available for rental in Hancock County. Renters who pay the $300 fee gain full-day access to a variety of amenities, including round and rectangular tables, chairs, and a small kitchen equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Additionally, corkboard strips with push pins are provided for hanging decorations, along with trash bags and cleanup supplies. This venue is ideal for meetings, featuring a podium and a pull-down screen for presentations. It is important to note that the Community Room is managed by the Township Government Offices, not the Buck Creek Fire Department; any requests to view fire trucks must be arranged separately and in advance with the Fire Department.

To reserve the Community Room, please send an email to [email protected]. A hard copy of the application is available at the bottom of this page, and completed forms should be returned via email. If email submission is not possible, you may mail the form to 5809 W Airport Boulevard, Greenfield, Indiana 46140, Attention: Community Room.

For reservations and inquiries, contact 317-353-3570 x 1001 from Monday to Thursday between 8 AM and 4 PM, or via email on Fridays. When calling, please provide the renter’s name, event date, type and time, as well as the renter’s email and phone number.

  • All renters must be at least 25 years old.
  • Effective Monday, October 7, 2024, the Community Room will be available for daily rentals from 9 AM to 9 PM at a rate of $300. Each reservation will be invoiced via email for payment by debit or credit card, and online payments must be completed 30 days prior to the reservation date. A copy of the renter’s ID is required with each reservation. If payment is not received 30 days prior to the reservation date, we cannot ensure your original reservation.
  • The facility is electronically monitored, and access is granted through electronic doors.
  • Companies utilizing the room for training from Monday to Friday can rent it for $75 from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Not-for-profit organizations with 501C status may reserve the room at no cost Monday – Friday as well.
  • Buck Creek Township residents are eligible for a 25% discount with valid ID.
  • Selling of products and services is not permitted within government buildings.
  • Upon arrival, renters should inspect the room for any issues or damages and report them via email.
  • Doors should not be propped open due to environmental controls.
  • The responsibility for event setup and cleanup lies with the renter, who must also dispose of all trash, clean up any spills on the floor, leave the Community Room and property of Buck Creek Township tidy.  There are trash bags, broom, and dustpan provided and the dumpster can be found out back.
  • A $75.00 clean up fee will be charged to each renter who does not abide by the event set up and clean up standards.  This covers our cleaning company fee’s for extra clean up.
  • The kitchenette, equipped with a full-size refrigerator, oven, and microwave, is available for use and must be cleared and tidy when event is completed.
  • Renters must ensure that bathrooms and hallways are left clean and tidy.
  • The rental includes 15 round tables and 12 rectangular tables, with sizes of 6 feet for rectangular tables and 5 feet for round tables. Renters are responsible for setting up and storing tables and chairs after use.
  • Renters have access to the outdoor picnic tables, the Community Room, restrooms and vending.  Please refrain from the Government Center hallway or Conference room as these are for personnel use only.
  • The vestibule is always open to serve our Township Assistance clients.  This is located in the Government Center and is reserved for personnel and township residents picking up applications for Township assistance. This area is not included with the rental.
  • A vending machine is also available on-site available to all Community Room renters.
  • The Fire Department is completely separate from the Township Community Room. Community Room visitors can NEVER enter the Fire Station as these are government working facilities with specific rules and protocols in place for the safety, security and operational efficiency.

  • All parking must remain on the side of the Government Building so not to block emergency vehicles coming and going.
  • The Police, Fire, and Hancock County Government have priority over any private reservations at all times.
